Tristan da Cunha Island: NASA has shared a photo of one of the most remote islands in the world. This island is known as Tristan da Cunha. This island is the most remote populated island in the world, where more seabirds reside than humans. This island is part of a group of islands located in the South Atlantic Ocean, which is located about halfway between South America and the southern tip of Africa.
NASA has written a long article while sharing the photo of this island on Instagram, in which extensive information about the island has been given. An aerial view of this island can be seen in the photo. The photo of this group of islands was clicked by Landsat-9 on 24 May 2023. The Landsat-9 satellite was launched from California, USA in the year 2021. It is known as an Earth Observation Satellite, whose job is to keep observing the Earth.

Photo of Tristan da Cunha Island last year
According to NASA, very few people live on this island, while sea birds live here in very large numbers. There is dense seagrass all around the island, where seagrass named Macrocystis pyrifera is found. This island has the fastest growing seaweed. NASA said that the photo of this island was clicked last year. Through this, the forests were surveyed. After seeing this photo released by NASA, it is known that there are still many such places on Earth, where the reach of humans is very limited. Not much information has been revealed about this island yet.
